ball-type submunitions are anti personnel bombletts. They are very small and scattered across an area where there is a known concentration of enemy personnel. There are four sizes of ball submunitions the m32 style being the smallest "golf ball size" followed by the most common size "baseball size" the blu63 and blu36 are two examples. The Blu61 is around a softball size submuntion.
